What is a professional organizer?

Someone who can help you organize any of the physical and digital spaces in your life. A professional organizer aids in the tough decision process when it comes to removal of belongings and creating systems that assists clients with order and clarity.

What are the benefits to being decluttered and organized?

When you are organized and have gotten rid of the clutter, you are able to think clearer – it is even suggested that performance increases. Although professional organizers aren’t cleaners, they however, take the heavy burden of clients by taking the time to tackle those projects that you just have not gotten around to.

Why are you in the professional organizing field?

I have always been a bit OCD about the arrangement and organization of things. What started out as being very orderly and neat about things, I found myself, organizing my childhood friend’s bedroom dresser, then it went to organizing and color-coding family and friends’ closets, to building a retrievable filing system for a client’s tax records, and as they say, the rest is history. As crazy as it sounds, I find it to be quite therapeutic organizing and designing spaces for clients.

What are your favorite spaces to organize?

That’s a hard one. I enjoy organizing and designing all spaces, but if I had to choose,
it would be clothing closets.

How do you know how long a job will take?

All services are estimated, therefore, there’s no way to determine how long a job will
take. We are hired to work on behalf of the client; which the client steers the pace.

Does the client need to be on site working with the organizer?

Yes, it is preferred. A professional organizer cannot determine what should be kept or tossed. Also, if any questions or needs arise, the client and professional organizer will be able to remedy any concerns right away. Lastly, the client will glean nuggets along the way for long-term benefit.

Do you help people with the moving process?

Yes. We can help you in any stage of the process, sorting, downsizing; packing and
unpacking. IC ProService is not a moving company.

Will I end up with a bare, minimalist, neutral space that may not reflect my creative and fun personality?

No. All services provided will be reflective of the client’s preference and personality.

Will you clean my house?

Professional organizers do not provide housekeeping services. However, light cleaning such as wiping down a shelf will be done.

Are there any jobs you don’t take?

To date, IC ProServices has not outsourced services to another provider. Jobs are based on best fit of services and availability. If it is a specialty outside of IC ProService, we have the ability to refer you to other organizers who may be able to service you.

Do I need to get rid of things that are sentimental?

Absolutely NOT! IC ProService will encourage you to consider the items to keep or toss, while staying focused on accomplishing the goal

What can I do to prepare for your visit?
